ETALEE 2017
In this website you will find information about ETALEE 2017 that was held 23 - 24 May 2017 in Odense. Planning for the next Conference (expected to be held in Aarhus 2018) will commence Autumn 2017.
Conference aim and activities
The aim of the conference is to shine the spot light on forms of teaching and learning that motivate, activate and engage students. The conference aims to provide a meeting place where you can interact and exchange experiences with colleagues from other engineering education institutions. Thus, you are encouraged to bring good examples from your teaching practice on the use of active learning (article in danish - english) in engineering education.
The conference will be a mixture of active keynotes, practical Hands-on sessions, Explore sessions, an active Poster session and social arrangements.
Social event
We have arranged an exciting "Hans Christian Andersen on the River" tour on Odense Å (Odense River) from centre of Odense to Fruens Bøge and back again. H. C. Andersen himself will guide us, and his fairy tales will come alive along the riverside :-).
After the tour the Conference dinner will be held at Restaurant Nordatlanten, Nordatlantisk Promenade 1, Odense C (at the Harbour).
Conference organization
The conference is organized by the Danish Network for Engineering Education (IngeniørUddannelsernes Pædagogiske Netværk, IUPN) and is aimed at engineering educators and educational managers from Denmark, the Nordic countries and beyond. The language will be English. The conference will be hosted by University of Southern Denmark (SDU).
What is IUPN?
IUPN is a network including the following Danish engineering institutions: Technical University of Denmark, University of Southern Denmark, VIA University College, Aarhus University and Aalborg University. This network provides a forum for discussion and collaboration between educators and educational managers from all involved institutions on pedagogical and didactic methods in engineering education
The network is strengthened by a diversity of expertise, competences and resources within research and development of teaching and learning in Danish engineering education.
